Initially making fun of Timothy's assertion that Dumbo flew with his ears while drunk, the crows are soon moved by Dumbo's sad story. Recently, studios have mostly gotten over their lengthy transitions phase and caught on to the idea that menus should be cool but not long-winded. It was again re-released on VHS and Betamax as part of the Walt Disney Classics series on November 6, 1985. The children's book was first brought to the attention of Walt Disney in late 1939 by Kay Kamen, the studio's head of merchandise licensing, who showed a prototype of the Roll-A-Book that included Dumbo.

Those who own the previous release will want to strongly consider upgrading, though the disc isn't quite such an improvement that it becomes absolutely necessary.
