About this deal

Brutalis Fists with built-in, wrist-mounted, twin-linked Bolt Rifles (As replacement for Brutalis Talons)

Veteran Marines ( Sternguard Veteran • Vanguard Veteran • Veteran Intercessor • Veteran Assault Intercessor • Bladeguard Veteran) • Terminator Squad • Terminator Assault SquadOnce again quantity beats quality as the grav cannon puts out the most damage courtesy of each gun getting four shots. Unfortunately the superkrak version of the Desolation Squad suffers the same problem as many similar units; there just aren’t enough shots to make it worthwhile. As far as I can tell, the minds behind Strike Force Agastus must be part Ork because they clearly believes that when it comes to Primaris, Biggest Is Best. The box contains the biggest Intercessors, it gives the other Primaris the biggest guns, it has the biggest Primaris dreadnought, and it even gives the Primaris Lieutenant a bigger fist. Whether or not these options are actually good is something we’ll take a look at in this article. The standard Castraferrum Pattern Mark IV or Mark V Dreadnought carries a heavy ranged weapon on its right arm and the left arm is equipped with a Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon. The latter is usually a Dreadnought Power Fist or Power Claw with either a Storm Bolter or Heavy Flamer fitted below the forearm, or in the case of the Mark IV fitted to the side of its main chassis. Here, its lower profile allows the Castraferrum to negotiate low-ceilinged passageways that the taller Contemptor Pattern would be unable to pass along. The true reason, however, that the Castraferrum remains in common use while the Contemptor and other patterns are rarely seen relics lies with the technology utilised within its many systems. Instead of the ill-understood Atomantic Arc Reactors and Helical Targeting Arrays of the Contemptor Pattern, the Castraferrum uses an adaptable thermic reactor and other such technological systems already found within a wide range of current Adeptus Astartes war machines. Astraeus • Redemptor Dreadnought ( Brutalis Dreadnought • Ballistus Dreadnought) • Repulsor • Repulsor Executioner • Impulsor • Gladiator ( Gladiator Reaper • Gladiator Valiant • Gladiator Lancer) • Raider Pattern Combat Bike • Invader ATV • Invictor Tactical Warsuit • Storm Speeder ( Storm Speeder Hailstrike • Storm Speeder Hammerstrike • Storm Speeder Thunderstrike)

While the upper torso is mostly complete, we begin with the legs. These are far more dynamic than the old Castraferrum pattern Dreadnoughts. You have a pelvis section with poseable hips / upper legs. Similar to the Adeptus Titanicus kits, they come with suggestions you can simply build with the tongue and grove design, but could cut those away for a more free and more dynamic pose, if you wanted to. Chassis-mounted Heavy Bolters allow a Brutalis Dreadnought to unleash respectable amounts of anti-infantry firepower. If a Chapter needs its Brutalis Dreadnoughts to face enemy armour, a pair of Multi-Meltas in place of the Heavy Bolters will cook any vehicles that the Brutalis does not crush with its fists or rip apart with its claws.

Redemptor Dreadnought

A Techmarine is points efficient, durable, and can repair the Redemptor Dreadnought for D3 lost Wounds a turn. This isn’t just narratively fitting for an Iron Hands force, but a great combo with their Chapter Tactics – every single Wound you heal is worth 1/6th more. An arming ceremony carried out by the Adeptus Mechanicus' tech-priests for a still unoccupied Redemptor Dreadnought chassis of the Imperial Fists Chapter. Captain • Lieutenant • Chapter Ancient • Bladeguard Ancient • Company Ancient • Chapter Champion • Company Champion

Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons: Result: 3-1 to the Brutalis Dreadnought. Even in death I still serve. Brutalis Dreadnought vs Maulerfiend A Devastator Squad costs 23 points per model and has a huge number of heavy options. A unit can carry up to four grav cannons, heavy bolters, lascannons, missile launchers (with frag and krak options), a multi-melta (for a 10 point premium), or a plasma cannon. When the greatest of the Astartes are crippled in combat the battle-brother's body will be repaired and transferred into an armoured cyborganic sarcophagus outfitted with extensive life support systems. This sarcophagus is then interred within the heart of the armoured torso of a Dreadnought if there is even a spark of life left.

3. The Ultramarines Gunfighter

Larger and more imposing than even a regular dreadnought, the Redemptor is piloted by a near dead Primaris Marine. A war machine of fearsome reputation, it carries an array of weaponry to bring death to the enemies of the Emperor. Lazarius ( Silver Skulls) (KIA) - Lazarius was a Redemptor Dreadnought of the Silver Skulls Chapter who was part of the strike force that fought to save the Industrial World of Drevaris from the invading forces of the T'au Empire. Along with their Sons of Guilliman allies, the Silver Skulls fought a devastating battle with the T'au, and Lazarius was killed by the T'au Commander Novastorm. Worse still, the damage Lazarius suffered caused his Redemptor Dreadnought to explode, which killed several nearby battle-brothers of his Chapter. So with the heavy bolters the expected value against the target is 13.24 wounds, while with the multi-meltas the cumulative expected value is 18.46 or a 39% increase. Assuming you want to specialize your Brutalis towards killing big targets, the multi-meltas are worth the points. A Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons Legion Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought during an Imperial Compliance action. Dreadnoughts are often mistaken by mortal observers for huge suits of battle armour or robots; they are similar to both and yet neither. Dreadnoughts are a combination of armoured walker and cybernetic life-support system; their pilots are neurally linked straight into the Dreadnought's cybernetic systems, and are able to use the walker as if it were their own body, although they are permanently entombed within its Ceramite skin until they are destroyed.
